Ona Bartroli is a London based editor originally from Barcelona and 2020 graduated from the National Film and Television School (NFTS). There she edited the documentary Lola which was selected to Hot Docs, and Aesthetica; the fiction Shoal shortlisted for the Student BAFTAS LA and also screened in Norwich Film and PÖFF 24; and the animation The Unknown which has been screened at Sitges Film festival, Hiroshima Festival and Festival Stopmotion Monreal.
Previously she worked as an editor and editing assistant. She collaborated on her first feature film "Desaparecer" which was selected for the Festival of Malaga.
Ona edited her first TV documentary 1-O for MediaPro, which was broadcasted on TV3.
Ona graduated from ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya) in 2017 specialing in Editing. One of her graduate projects was the short film Elegia which was nominated for the Gaudi and shortlisted for the Goyas. Ona won the Jury Award for Best Editing at Salisbury University Film Festival (USA) 2018.
Ona is drawn by independent authorial films with a strong subject matter, she is an editor that enjoys embracing unique voices in filmmaking.
Ona is experienced with Avid, Premiere, Final Cut, and After Effects.
